Privacy Policy

R&M Car Service is a chauffeured car service based in Austin, Texas. We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@randmchauffeur.com or +1 (512) 826-1428.

We only collect what we need to quote and provide a ride.

• Quote requests. Your name, phone number, email address, pickup and drop-off addresses, pickup date and time, passenger count and the type of service you want.
• Calls, texts and WhatsApp. Your number and the content of the conversation when you contact us. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and subject to its own privacy policy.
• Ad source. If you arrive from an ad or campaign link, we store the campaign labels from the link (source, medium and campaign name, plus Google's ad click ID when you came from a Google ad) in a cookie so we know which ad brought you. It holds no personal information.
• Reviews. If you post a review at /reviews, we store the rating, the text and the trip type you choose. Anonymous reviews carry no personal information. If you choose to sign in with Google first, we also store your Google account name, email address and profile photo so the review can be shown under your name; we never post to your Google account or read anything beyond that basic profile.
• My bookings. If you sign in at /bookings, we create an account holding your name and email address, and show you the booking requests made with that email. You can sign in with Google or with a one-time link we email you; we never ask for or store a password for this.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability.

We do not collect payment card details through this website. If you pay online, you enter them on Stripe's secure payment page; we only keep a record of the payment (amount, date and Stripe's reference).

• To prepare your quote and contact you about it by phone, text, email or WhatsApp.
• To arrange, perform and follow up on your ride, including passing pickup details to your chauffeur.
• To keep booking and invoicing records for corporate accounts.
• To understand which advertising brings customers, so we can spend less on ads that do not.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

By giving us your phone number you agree that we may call or text you about your quote and your ride. These are service messages, not marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Phone numbers collected for texting, and any consent to receive texts, are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

• The chauffeur assigned to your ride, limited to your name, phone number and trip details.
• Service providers that run this website for us: hosting (Vercel), our database (Neon) and the email service that sends our emails to you and to us (Resend). They process data only on our instructions.
• Stripe, when you choose to pay online: your name and email address, the amount, a booking reference and your trip details. Stripe processes the payment and also uses payment data under its own privacy policy, for example to prevent fraud.
• Authorities or advisers when the law requires it or to defend a legal claim.

Signing in with Google is optional and offered on the reviews page and on My bookings. When you use it, R&M Car Service receives your basic Google profile through Google Sign-In: your name, email address and profile photo (the “openid”, “email” and “profile” scopes). We request nothing else and never access your contacts, calendar, Drive or Gmail.

• Why. To show your review under your real name and photo instead of “Anonymous”, to show you the bookings made with your email address, and to keep you signed in while you do either.
• Storage. Your name, email and photo URL are stored in our database next to your review and sign-in session, and nowhere else.
• Sharing. We do not sell, transfer or disclose Google user data to anyone. Only your name and photo appear publicly, on the review you chose to post. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Neon) process the data on our behalf under contract and cannot use it for their own purposes. We never use Google user data for targeted advertising, never sell it to data brokers and never use it to train AI or machine-learning models.
• Protection. Google user data travels only over HTTPS, is stored in an access-controlled database, and can be read only by the owner who moderates reviews. Sign-in sessions are kept in a signed, HTTP-only cookie. We never receive or store your Google password.
• Retention and deletion. Your Google name, email and photo are kept for as long as the review is published or your sign-in session exists. Removing the review, or asking us at hello@randmchauffeur.com, deletes them within 30 days. Sessions expire automatically after 7 days of inactivity.
• Revoking access. Sign out on the reviews page at any time. You can also removeR&M Car Service's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and email hello@randmchauffeur.com to have the stored profile details and any reviews deleted.

R&M Car Service's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This policy applies to the website at https://www.randmchauffeur.com and to the “R&M Car Service” app shown on the Google sign-in screen.

This site sets three kinds of cookie. The first is ours: set only when you arrive through a campaign link, it records the campaign labels from that link, expires after 30 days and is never read by anyone but us. The second is also ours: a session cookie set only if you sign in, to post a review or to see My bookings, so the site knows who you are until you sign out. The third is the Google Ads conversion tag, which lets us see whether an ad led to a quote request; it is governed by Google's privacy policy and you can opt out at adssettings.google.com. There are no social-media tracking cookies. The site works normally if you block or delete them.

Quote requests and booking records are kept for as long as we need them to run the business and meet tax and accounting obligations. If you never book with us, you can ask us to delete your request at any time.

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, including a review you posted and the Google profile details attached to it, by emailing hello@randmchauffeur.com. We will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking. Residents of states with privacy laws, including California and Texas, have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone.

The site is served over HTTPS, quote data is stored in an access-controlled database, and only the people who handle bookings can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us card numbers or other sensitive details through the quote form.

This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Bookings must be made by an adult.

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If we ever change how we use Google user data, we will also say so on the reviews page before the change takes effect. Our Terms of Service describe the booking relationship itself.
